copy the whole image.
Paste it into a new layer
click the edye next to the old layer so it fucks off
delete the white bit
save for web as a gif with the box that says 'transparency' on it ticked
it will have weird squares behind it.
if you need a matte then use a grey between the two greys.

When in imageready
click on one of the icons at the bottom of the frames / slide-show thing and it'll give you options of transparency which make sense.
If you can't do it yourself then Gaz me and I'll open the application and show you properly.
