# u should get broadband
it's the future!

# We should all have uncapped broadband
that's a future still coming

# capped broadband?
that is so yesterday
(, Tue 25 Sep 2007, 20:02, archived)
# and sadly, it's fast becoming tomorrow as well
now that providers have cottoned on to how much bandwidth people use if given free reign.

mind you, that being said, there is one /boarder out in S. Africa who has to pay an
horrendous amount per month for b/band and only gets around 1GB/month bandwidth for it,
so it's really all down to being considerate

# ouch
that's painful.

I used to have a cap of 30gb down, 15GB down up - but that ended 2 years ago.

No limits for me anymore.

In any case, I don't think I could live with 56k(I still remember getting porn from the interweb as a kid, and just waiting for the pics to load bit, by bit, by bit.)

# you probably went through puberty quicker ;)

# We had to get rid of our limits,
as *cough*me*cough* someone went over the limit every month by 26gb.
(, Tue 25 Sep 2007, 20:09, archived)
# aye
tis an easy limit to cross when you're not paying attention

I used to be able to buy 5 gb "packs" of extra download capacity whenever I went over. Meh.
(, Tue 25 Sep 2007, 20:15, archived)
# do they do it in 50GB packs?
*shames at recent bandwidth*
(, Tue 25 Sep 2007, 20:16, archived)
# hehehe
/fecking usenet, the GB's just fly by.

# I have broadband

I had no idea there were still people out there putting up with 56k

# capped broadband and people veiwing B3ta on their phones
make pointlessly massive pictures annoying.

The 50k and 250k rule isn't exactly Chinese water torture. And if you're precious about your artwork just post a thumbnail to a massive version.

# it's a good job it's not Chinese water torture...
I don't have any Chinese water
(, Tue 25 Sep 2007, 20:17, archived)
# I have absolutely no complaints about the rule
I think that even with broadband, 50k/250k is a nice size
