# I optimised your original a bit for you, because i love it
(, Mon 8 Oct 2007, 14:35, archived)
# thanks,
may i ask what you did?
(, Mon 8 Oct 2007, 14:36, archived)
# yup
from the bit of your gif where the frames are running at 0s, i deleted every second frame and set them all to 0.1s...
then I set the pallette to 128
Took off the dither
No transparency
Lossy at "20"
and decreased the size to 240 pixels...
Edit: also, after your image url, you could slip in width=280 to pimp it back up to your original size.

# cool,
optimising does my head in. Too much to play with, without knowing excactly what it is I'm doing.

# I know it's a bit of a bastard
you can slice a lot of filesize off by taking out as many frames as possible without making it jerky. You jus need to play around. Great gif though, tis teh winnar.

# I didn't think about the frames
I'd already cut it down from eight hundres odd to whatever it is now.
Cheers.

# I hesitate to take away from the quality of the image...
