I hate how un user-friendly they are.
And they're way too popular for my liking.
I mean, it's not a problem if you only use one computer.
But you can't synchronise it with another one without deleting all your files without going into the hidden files of the actual player, which is just silly.
I use two computers, mine and my dad's, and Creative does windows media player, and it's drag and drop, so I can use it on any computer, really.

I don't use itunes or anything that rediculously big and controlling, just a 20k interface to load the files to my ipod

I asked because it seems fashionable to dislike ipods
