# cor! there's nothing better than home made sweets of any variety
I'm ok, making a prototype HT figurine at the moment which I will be giving away to a close friend as an Xmas present.

What you up to this evening?

not a fat lot, some photos to be taken and some robot steady hand games to be made, otherwise I might get reacquainted with /board. I've missed it :)

# you know the arcane secrets of home-made fudge???
i demand you tell me how to make it! i must know!!!!

# Its a piece of piss
using the nigella recipe, you need:

350g dark chocolate
a 397g can of condensed milk
30g of butter
and then whatever else you want. I went for raisins. Basically, stick the chocolate, butter and condensed milk into a bowl over a pan of boiling water. melt it all while stirring, then when thats done chuck in the raisins or whatever, mix it all together and pour it into a foil tray. Let it cool, then mark out the squares with a knife and put it in the fridge to set.

Nyom indeed, my friend

# *glees*
i'm going to give this a trial run tomorrow, then, if all goes well, i shall make ample supplies for the yuletide festivities.

nyoms shall be heard throughout the land!

# Hurrah!
This is exactly why I'm doing it, too poor for proper christmas presents this year.

I made truffles today too, though I fear they've gone a little wrong.

# i bought a scratchcard before
and won £20. i took advantage of festive 2for1 offers in my local shop and managed to get 8 christmas presents, a tub of butter, 2 bars of chocolate, a bottle of dr. pepper and 20 fags. my little win is the only reason my mum isn't getting a fruit cake for christmas!

# Haha, excellent
that's some good bargain hunting, this is :)

# i always try to get my pressies bought
2 weeks before christmas. people aren't last-minute shopping yet, so the stores are getting desperate, trying to outdo each other with offers. in a week, the prices will all shoot up again.
periodically, i will buy one present a week from summertime onwards, so i occasionally have an organised and stress-free christmas. it just isn't the same without the panic!
