# IR no longer comes with PS
and in fact Adobe have discontinued it. PS10 (CS3) contains most of the functionality for creating animated gifs, but NONE of the functionality for importing and editing them. Adobe's position is that you should now use Fireworks to edit animated gifs. Unfortunately Fireworks is a bloated piece of shit.

that's a bit cack. But yes, photoshop has most of the good stuff for doing gifs and decent optimisation controls

PS10 is the first PS version I've seen which has actually lost vital functionality. I really hope they sort it out in the next iteration. It would be a real pity to see this trend continue... one concern is that they'll take out PS's vector capabilities in order to encourage sales of Illustrator. That would be a huge issue for me personally, and I definitely wouldn't upgrade.

then type *.* in film name and all your fav files are there to import to stage :)
