It fits into the cartridge port. It's about £35.00 with a 1Gb memory card.

Basically, it means, free games for life, as it allows you to download game roms.
It also allows you to play mp3's and movies on your DS.
I have DS and SNES games on mine.

Which you can download game roms (rips) onto. You can download lots of game roms from torrent site and what not; great if you have no qualms about doing (I don't, and have my R4Ds and several hundred games)

You can also convert video to play on your DS, and play mp3s too.
