# ^ This
Or something from Akira, but in a non-Manga, all JJ style.

# No.
I think 'The Watchmen' is overrated pap and Alan Moore whines too much.

# you do?
i think you're the first person i've ever heard criticise it. what do you think of the resr of his work?

# The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Vol 1 was great.
Vol 2, also top notch.
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: The Black Dossier; about as close to self-fellation as a writer can get. Piss poor self indulgence.

# both very definatly woo
i haven't read black dossier yet. Have you read Promethea? that made me wonder about the mans sanity somewhat. it was all very abstract magic stuff and it just came off as a once great author losing the plot.
Saying that on the same imprint did you read topten? that was really good. lighthearted and tongue properly inserted in to cheek.

# Read the first volume of Top Ten.
And Top Ten: The 49ers (A prequel).
Both good.
Only other Moore stuff I like is Tom Strong.

# Well then improve it.
Either that, or do a Civil War mashup tribute.

# i thought he just says
"i don't want anything to do with a movie of my comic, apart from my cheque".

# Have you read the book in my sig?
I read it last night, a mate lent it to me- it's absolutely marvellously told. Niko Henrichon's style is lovely and free as well.

# Yep. Picked that up a while back.
*sniff*
....most sad :(

# Beautiful though. Probably the most impressive bit of work I've read in some time.
Well, apart from Battlepope. I LOVE Battlepope.

# Meh.
Prefer Kirkman's other works: Invincible and The Walking Dead.
(, Fri 18 Jan 2008, 11:21, archived)
# I've not read either of them, the Battlepope was on recommendation
I've not read *that* many comics, as is blindingly obvious, but I trust my dealer's taste, I've not met ANYONE who knows more (been in the business 20-odd years now). He knows my taste.

# walking dead is ace.
infact it's the only thing i look forward too comics wise as i don;t buy a lot any more. i tend to selectivly weed out the crud.
