But Scientology is seriously creepy.
It makes Koresh sound like a rational, pleasant guy.
It's designed to fleece gullible and vulnerable people of their money, it strokes the egos of the rich to get more funds and launches vicious, spurious lawsuits against anyone who stands against it (once the verbal threats and character assassinations fail).
It bans the use of psychiatric medicine so that the very people who might be drawn to it are denied proper care - to the extent that one girl died locked in a room in a Scientology 'mental health' centre.
It's a mean, nasty, dirty little cult and I hope it shrivels up and dies.

I just don't agree with the way that people are trying to do it.

I doubt the actual real-life impact of slowing down Scientology websites. I can't imagine that it could be anything other than a minor nuisance for Scientology.
And regarding the idea a few have mentioned that Scientology is 'evil': I agree that it's self-interested and uses some dubious methods to ensure it's own success, but the 'evil' tag seems to imply that there's an inherently evil purpose at the heart of it, and I don't think that's strictly true. It's only evil in the same very that big corporations are 'evil'. As in, not strictly built on malicious intent, just preoccupied with their own success.

if you could name a corporation that was to sell you a piece of crap that was potentially lethal, on the premise that it would help you, and then demand money through menaces and make you cut yourself off from your family, then yes, like that company.
