In other news, tell me more of these perpetual motion lamps you mentioned earlier. I enclose my £5.

Then I realised that I had no idea where to go from that point and watched tv instead.

I'm thinking of making a blog out of my vacant block.

or put up some official-looking signs that say shit like
DISPOSAL OF HUMAN WASTE IN GREEN BINS FORBIDDEN BY LAW or
NO FLYING TENTS IN THIS AREA AFTER MIDNIGHT.

Maybe if things get boring I'll spice it up, but right now I just really like being surprised.
Also, the tent was a lot more enjoyable than the shitrags.
There were three police officers in that van, and they were all there three hours later when I went out again. THAT'S SOME GOOD POLICING FELLAS.

we have an odd neighbourhood thing going on - there's a huge wide bit of pavement beside a corner store that really isn't for parking or much of anything, but it has a couple of disused planters standing on it. someone's been putting food for homeless people there for at least a year, and a few of us in the 'hood have been wondering about it.
i guess if i were homeless i'd eat it, but i've seen bags of ground coffee there and jars of mustard. i was thinking of eating some of the stuff to see if it's poisoned or something and starting a dangerfood blog. i did get some coffee from a sidewalk box a while ago, but it was sealed so i felt safe.
*note: in my neighbourhood people commonly put boxes out on the sidewalk for others to rummage through. it's usually books and the like, though, not food*

3 cops x 3 hours = waste of fucking money. were they awake or could you have spray-painted their van?

they're the round (sometimes oval) lamps where the outer shell is paper or plastic or acetate, and the inner shade is acetate and it spins around a bulb. they typically have chase scenes drawn on them here, and are aimed at kids. i see promo ones for crappy disney movies sometimes.
i bought one cheap, ripped it apart and drew new chase scenes on a sheet of acetate then replaced the dolphins-on-acetate that the original had.
i know they have a name, but i can't think of it.
