i'd be at about this level (though probably without that guy in the background he's fantastic) the other one's superb

16 meh, only illegal if I get caught. my lack of women makes me sad. I dunno if it's the hair, the beard, the clothes or the maths major :(

I abandoned experimental physics a long time ago...but I did discover something :)

when I got sick of error bars covering the whole graph, and being given good marks for finding out a galaxy cluster was 15+-10MPc away. Someone else in the group got something like 13+-15 and still got good marks. It could be 2Mpc behind us! Stupid subject.

I expect that's only 1 standard deviation, as well.
Now I'm in medical physics, we like to be fairly certain about things.

Astrophysics doesn't really seem to mind.

Damned astrophysicists. She then went for another astrophysicist, two years younger than her. Silly girl.

Strangely enough, my girlfriend actually likes it when I talk physics, for reasons I've never quite understood.

Find a woman who's had the same idea and is also a physicist. That can work well. There aren't *many* women physicists, alas, but there's some great ones out there.

when i was doing my degree in theoretical physics we had about 10% or less. there's a few more in astrophysical/cosmological type of things though.

I've actually been able to talk to girls about physics without getting weird looks and told to fuck off out of their faces.
But it helps to know them a bit first. "Hey, baby, I've got a Masters in Theoretical Physics. Want to hear about the Top Quark?" is not the best chatup line.

You have to at least try to make it sound interesting.
