I didn't even really consider it in those terms.
I just tried changing the orientation of the lines to see what happened. It seemed to add an odd perspective to the picture. It was interesting but a bit distracting.

too many peple had vaguely geometric-themed pictures with muted, almost pastel colours that were often depictions of people.
plaquing was very in then, too.
it was awful, but your pic isn't - it just reminds me of the motif.
edit: how rude of me. draw a rose on piano now.

the 80's is kind of a blur for me. And I suspect you may be lying about this stuff to confuse me.
