WellI can't stand a cold cup of tea so I have to drink it within five minutes of receiving it. By the time I've put the cup down after my last gulp, I'm thirsty again.

well - if it takes you less than 5 minutes to drink a cup... and there are 15 waking hours in which you drink tea... and it takes 3 minutes to boil the water and 3 mintes to brew the tea and 1 minute to wash the sup... let's say you're consuming a cup of tea every 15 minutes, factor in needing the toilet, eat, doing work, talking to people, let's say 3 cups of tea an hour, which is 45 cups a day, ... American weights and measures states that a cup is 0.2365882 litres which * 45 == 10.646 litres a day
