# that in yankland?
Im spending summer in a lab making granules and getting paid nicely for it

# Yeah.
They actually do it in Jersey. Along with Bamboozle and Warped Tour, those are the only good BIG concerts we get. Summer Camp Out is a huge outdoor concert with loads of ska bands, almost always Reel Big Fish, sometimes The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, sometimes the Toasters, etc. :]

# Woah that sounds like a good hoot
I wish there were more decent things over summer all we got that I like is reading/leeds (but thats rapidly becoming the NME festival which is gay) and slam dunk in leeds which doesnt have that great a lineup

# Yeah.
I never been to a summer concert over there. I wanted to go to reading last year or the year before. And one year I wanted to go to the V festival. I think. I am now in the process of looking for a summer job though, so I can buy my own concert tickets and merch and whatnot. x]

# I went reading 04-06
the line-ups have been getting progressivly worse imo - last years was wank - but over the years i ended up alot more drunk and alot more mashed so the quality of the weekend was never lost :)
Festivals are well worth it tho - alot of the campsite fun is more memorable then some of the bands

# Yeah.
It would be cool if Bamboozle had a campsite, but it was in the parking lot of the Meadowlands, which is ginormous. Some people who came from out-of-state camped in their cars, though.

# tents FTW!!!
cold dank smelly tents are great to wake up in - and with the morning yo get ice cold beer to quench your thirst :)

# Not me.
Hahahah. They check ID hardcore at a lot of festivals here, because a lot of kids my age go. Although I hate the taste of alcohol anyways. I did get beer in my hair though. Not so much refreshing.

# thats a bit shit
spose since its not a campsite you dont get people bringing in lots of crates and the such - in 06 i think i had 4 or 5 crates with me - Beer is gooooood
:D

# It makes no sense to me.
They sell bottles of beer (plastic bottles, and they take the top) for $7.75 at Bamboozle. And water is $4.50. And people get halfway through the drink, then they throw it into the pit and hit someone (often me) with the bottle, and the drink spills everywhere. Seems like a waste to me.

# its probably piss in the bottle tbh
(, Tue 6 May 2008, 19:06, archived)
# No.
It was definitely beer.
(, Tue 6 May 2008, 19:54, archived)
# No, no, no.
The beer first thing in the morning is to stop the hangover developing.
(, Tue 6 May 2008, 18:39, archived)
# well to continue the constant level of drunkeness
(, Tue 6 May 2008, 18:41, archived)
# Exactly.
I normally get carried away the first night, and then keep a consistent level of happy drunkenness for the rest of the weekend.
Followed by a monster hangover when I get home.

# Na thats for the drive back
Im pretty sure i nearly fell asleep at the wheel on the M25 - thank god it was bank hol and moving slower then a snail
(, Tue 6 May 2008, 18:43, archived)
# Ah, I always cram into a train to get home.
I'm pretty sure I'd crash if I had to drive home.
(, Tue 6 May 2008, 18:46, archived)
# Did train in 04 - broken collarbone - not so fun
drove in 05 and in 06 my bro drove back Im glad I fell asleep not so witness how terrible his driving was
