you post an image as big as you likeas long as it's under 50k, we tend to go with 280px as it looks ok on the board, generally it's going to be under the 50k and we're fp whores.
i would steer clear of huge images as the can be a pain in the arse if you have to keep scrolling all over the show to see them, about 600px wide max is my limit, mostly

indeed this is soi only have a 17" monitor and by the time you have windows and a few firefox toolbars and stuff open it can be a pain if you only get to see half an image.

I have an old monitor at dad's, with a flickery screen D:At home I have a 17", 1280x1024 which is nice :]
