They just call Doners 'Gyros' (prn Euros) and Shish Kebabs they call

That's kinda how their supposed to be pronounced (so sayth my Afghani mate)
A while ago I met an American exchange student, she'd never come across the concept of a finely sliced warm meat with sauce and salad in a flat bread roll. (called whatever...) Although she was from Ohio, which may explain everything.

They just call them Gyros here. They're becoming increasingly popular lately for whatever reason. Not nearly as popular as kebabs are over there, mind. We're not all completely ignorant. Just most. Though the fact that I spend so much time lurking on this website must say something about ignorance. I'm just not sure what.
