(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 4:13, archived)
# It's all relative...
...but since I have no antipodean relatives...I put it to you that you are inverted!

# UK to San Diego. That's quite a shift.
I'm in Mendocino. Northern Calif on the coast.

I have a feeling I would be pretty happy in the UK. But hey, at least I'm not in Missouri. Mendo is a progressive place.

"Kabobs"
(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 4:29, archived)
# Kabobs lolz
That's kinda how their supposed to be pronounced (so sayth my Afghani mate)

A while ago I met an American exchange student, she'd never come across the concept of a finely sliced warm meat with sauce and salad in a flat bread roll. (called whatever...) Although she was from Ohio, which may explain everything.

(, Tue 8 Jul 2008, 4:41, archived)
# I'm from Ohio as well.
They just call them Gyros here. They're becoming increasingly popular lately for whatever reason. Not nearly as popular as kebabs are over there, mind. We're not all completely ignorant. Just most. Though the fact that I spend so much time lurking on this website must say something about ignorance. I'm just not sure what.
