# i'm not disputing that morph is a cartoon. everyone loves morph
but surely you need to specify the challenge other wise you get - anything to do with films, anything to do with music, etc

# At least the compo inspired this - which is ace. It's also a lot better than a lot of the entries so far.

# who says I don't?
I was just chastising you for saying that a lot of entries were rubbish in comparison to this one, thus hurting a great many peoples feelings in a casual aside.

# number 3 covers it, shirley?
though the entry ain't a gif, morph was obviously an animated cartoon? if it isn't, what is the term for animation made in the morph/wallace n gromit style?
(, Thu 10 Jul 2008, 20:15, archived)
# number 3 says an animated cartoon, where a cartoon is a drawing
thus an animated drawing.

and you want "claymation", "stop frame animation" or for a more generic term which would have suited the challenege better "kids tv show" for morph or wallace and gromit

Cartoons are cartoons, I'm not actually grumpy about this by the way, just trying to educate people a tiny bit and erase some of the horrible misconception that people have toward a field I sometimes work in :D
