What could have been a convoluted 'The year is 3786, there is a man living in a turbulent world where gibbons wait outside his door to punch his lights out because of a nuclear disaster has frazzled their minds...' turns into 'In a post apocalyptic world where gibbons have gone ga-ga'.
He just did the voice over the trailers. He didn't make the films.

Yeah understoodIt just a mental link. I associate his voice to sitting in the dark through 16 minutes of carbon copy trailers with the same swooping opening shot, and same number of cuts, closeup to grimacing hero's face.
