# basically you take the original picture and reduce it down to three colours

then use numbers/letters for the shadows...
dots/ commas for the rest

# I'd say dedicated, not sad!
I thought it was a good compo and showed up some quite inventive work (I spent the best part of 10 hours re-creating Picasso's La Reve in Word)

# aaah it as a compo
and i was only teasin'. i would also like to see said picture...

EDIT: I was expecting it to be in similar font form.. but still very good :)

# ah, no
sorry. I made it quite faithful to the original work. Hence why it took 10 sodding hours. In one sitting. I learned that Word isn't really designed for that sort of thing!

# don't appologise matey
it's very good as it is :)

# thank ye
kindly

The kind of thing you've done (and the sort of stuff that HappyToast knocks out for fun) leaves me in awe to be honest.

# thanking thee
I'm not sure which is more praiseful the awe or being lumped into a sentence with happy toast :)

# Cocking Nora!
Did you have the picture underneath or something? Because that's bloody impressive freehand otherwise.
(, Thu 18 Sep 2008, 1:02, archived)
# In truth
I can't remember, but as I know my skills are not THAT great, I think it's a safe bet that the picture was underneath ;-)

Just checked the original Word document and it only has the artwork I put on there, not the original picture, but I probably would have deleted it if it was there.

What I can say, with the utmost truth, is that it was done entirely within Word and only using the basic tools that Word has.

EDIT : The original Word document is at "http://www.clucksworld.co.uk/b3ta/la reve - picasso.doc" if you want to take a look at it.
