That depends.At this time of year I would probably start thinking about taking the lee ear, but earlier in the season I would prefer the fresh air to the shelter.

Watch out for the lice.I use a concoction of my own devising, consisting of a mixture of lavender oil and a blackthorn stick.

That's fine in the summer,when you can sit in a breeze.
In autumn I avoid it because of the odour, although it can keep the frost off on particularly cold winters nights.

if the ears are hairythe hair can be woven to produce blankets that are both warm and waterproof. nose hair blankets should only be used as a last resort, they're much coarser and not at all waterproof.
