# I don't think I've been around long enough/am exciting enough to come.
Are there a certain etiquette?

# traditionally first timers must be starkers

# Yeah, go to a good one
;)

# just because you're queen of the most popular one
:D

# Hahah, not quite
I just hate all that clique stuff, one of the reasons I enjoy the Derby bashes so much is because it's just about getting together and having a laff, innit?

The May London bash, that Riverghost organised, was similar, great atmosphere because everyone was just having a few drinks and a giggle. Maybe we need to sort out a Christmas /board bash so we can just tell the /talkers to get to fuck if they turn up and start being twattish. Unfortunately that existing one is already too set in what we can expect.

# All the talkers I have met....
hang on

all the talkers I have met who have actually spoken to me rather that glaring across a room like some sort of abused alsatian have been lovely.

# Hahah, I don't mean to generalise quite so completely
there are /talkers who are also lovely, it just seems to be a minority
(, Mon 13 Oct 2008, 16:36, archived)
# Oh no, it doesn't bother me
Most generalisations come about by several people proving them right in their case. The '/talk people are rather standoffish' generalisation being a good example of this.

# I've tried /talk a bit
seems as I only ever post text on here...

I always come back though.

# Most of the time they ignore me
there's a few who talk though, and they seem like lovely people.

# to be honest
I think they'd probably say the same about here ... aren't we supposed to be cliquey?
(, Mon 13 Oct 2008, 16:49, archived)
# Apparently so.
I don't know, it's hard to say. I think this side is a little less cliquey, but I'm probably wrong due to bias.

# This is true for me also
but I think I've just been lucky not to meet the knobs
(, Mon 13 Oct 2008, 16:36, archived)
# There's several that I would prefer not to meet
lest my forehead make contact with the bridge of their nose. Quickly.

Having said that though, there's several boarders who I'd rather not meet either.

Oh, wait...
