That was the highlight of my day. Stoke City. For crying out loud. Who's next on the magical jewish carousel of managerial failure? They certainly won't have the stones to keep The not-so special Jaunde.

First year in there is always one team from the dregs that starts up beyond their dreams. I hope they stay up, nothing like a guaranteed 6 pointer ;)

in Accy on a Saturday night. I was up on scaffolding at the huge ceiling in the atrium but you could see the town square outside.

Andy Cole was pleased with them being there. Reading were topping the prem not so long ago?
Spurs better go down though, just for the years of pub piss-taking it will give me whenever I'm home in Hammersmith.
( being a Manc I get enough shit and if I can't gloat at the gooners or chelski then Spurs battling it out at Barnsley and Doncaster will have to do )

I have family nearby who support them and they are only 10 minutes drive up the East Lanc's from me. I feel they are an honest club without ideas above their station and I'd like to see them survive much longer and grow as a club.
But fuck Man City. Where was I?

I know what you mean, they are a decent mid(ish) table club with no dissolutions about what they can do really.

I've had this argument for years. Desperate spurs supporters in the pub trying to tell me and others how they are a 'big 6 ' club. They are a nothing club and always have been.

When Terry Venebles had to state in the paper that he does not want the job after speculation Levy was already sounding out replacements. That dodgy fucker ( El Tel ) would manage a pub team if he thought he had a chance to steal the subs money for another failed property deal in Spain.

I seem to recall lots of laughter from when Ozzie was their manager and loosing all the time, but with entertaining and respectactable scores such as 5-4, as if loosing was fun, even if you put four in the net, from their fans

when we take Bale from them in January.
Perhaps they could buy some of Ken Dodd's diddymen with the money, you know, to give them some height up front.

fan. He'll be coming to us. We've been trailing him since Southampton and need cover at left back. He's top of the January list.

He is Neville Neville. They both played in the local boys league with my two younger cousins ( who played up front ) before being picked up by United and my cousins regularly ran rings around them. The the silly fuckers discovered booze, women, drugs and night clubs. Just like I did but I wasn't good enough to play pro football. The dicks.

Rafael and Fabio Da Silva. Rafael played yesterday. Trouble is he's the right back and his brother, though very good is not quite first team material yet and we have been short at left back since we let judas go. ( Heinze )

has the makings of a good left back of the sort we need ( we use a left back on the overlap and he needs to get from line to line ). He just needs some proper guidance at a football club instead of playing for Assclowns F.C. ;)

or would he need some time in teh reserves.
Cos if he did, what would be the point in spending say 25mil on him when you already have a half decent LB and RB in the reserves, first team experience will sort them out really.

is out by nearly double ( his stock has dropped a lot ) But even so, as I said he'd be cover and if he did come January ( the only thing there is Ferguson hates to buy in January unless forced ) he's be match fit ( well, whatever goes for match fit at spurs. Insiders at Utd were shocked at how poor Berbatov's fitness was compared to what they require ) if needed.

Thats considering how much they bought him for, and have spent over the summer (although they re-couped alot from berbs and keanes sales)
And evra isnt exactly a bad LB, he's probably one of the most consistant in the league
and likes to get forwards ALOT!

I don't see another player playing instead of Evra. he's just turned out to be a bit fragile and can't guarantee 50 games a season.

I'd be happy for Utd to buy the whole spurs squad and give then jobs in the function room bar if it meant that Spurs will just disappear into the championship and their deluded fans can finally get the message ;)

Darren Bent isn't a bad striker, but not if you wanna push for CL football, and certainly not with his colleagues around him.

they are too similar, they need a defoe/keane to play along side them.
Bent works hard and just needs games to get some confidence up and start playing well, he just hasnt been getting games last season anyway

but like all strikers if you leave them on the bench for weeks on end then you can't expect them to turn on the style and be happy when you do decide to give them a run.
I think he made a huge mistake going to Spurs ( at the time, not just in LOLSPURS hindsight.) but He was not a massive superstar and the money lure can be big.
