They've both been suspended, which is fine by me because they're both cnuts, but bad for the BBC which shouldn't have buckled, despite all the complaints (which only poured in after the Daily Heil made a fuss).

I was horrified when I read about this in the papers - I mean, who would insult an old gentleman of comedy like Andrew Sachs?
But I listened to it on YouTube and it's really bloody funny.

It probably was quite funny, the two of them usually are.
However, you can't deny that if you were a 78 year old man, and a couple of youngsters rang you up and started guffawing down the phone about having shagged your granddaughter and suggesting you would kill yourself over it, I think you'd have the right to be offended.
It's like the difference between laughing at the jokes on Sikipedia, and reading them out to your dear old nan.
