But there will probably be a couple of "other" Governors or Senators. The US system is very different from the UK's.
Imagine the councils and Government being directly linked and such, if you know what I mean.

that California will go for McCain.
A lot of the individual counties are very conservative, but they are completely outweighed by a huge population in the liberal cities.
