I don't like them, but I like the statement of intent they create by their sheer exsistance. No frippery form defined by function. (I know this is not totally true, but it is true about the gun shapes I think are cool).

Mainly, as judging by the size of the magazine and ejection port, the rounds in that thing must be huge. Combine that with the short barrel and stock, and slight build of the girly, I reckon the kick from that would make it useless.
