# My first animation
edit:Version 1.2,now with less (thanks to Kebab)KB
edit1: And optimisation (thanks to MOS)

I thinks it might be too big, even after web optimisation... :(

Any tips? (except from lepers)

# No dither, 32 colours(adaptive) and unified palette.
Crop a bit off the top and you'll hit 400k.
edit: I just tried it, feel free to edit and
replace it with this if you like. 367k-ish.

edit2: Dialed it in nicely, Woo and Arf!

# yes, 800 kb is a lot greater than 400 kb
tips:
speed it up a bit.
lose the fin at the end
combine the frames rather than replace them, you're wasting space by having the same thing replaced over and over.

I don't know how to optimise in ps or imageready, in gimp there's an optimise for gif filter. this removes all the repeated pixels so that the image doesn't have so much data

# but other than that nicely done

# A bit big, yes sirree bob.
It's also jerky. On the downslide the frames are different lengths.
I use Ulead GIF animator, the optimisation does all the work for you. Whatever you used I don't think it removed redundant pixels.I'm not an expert at this BTW. This is how I would have done it:

# Or this at 120k.
LOL

edit: Ooops, not good. Transp(white????) is on so it will look quite
different with graylines here. Try placing it on a red background page, haha.

# Save differences only would have halved the size in an instant.
i have seen teh moooon

# i'm crap at animation, but they get a ton easier as you keep making them.
and, here's an optimisation bible, by a b3tan.
