his pension isn't legally binding, RBS were allowed to pay him this much but didn't have to.
The ministers involved with managing the bank didn't realise that his pension wasn't contractual until the media pointed it out to them, stupidly enough
Besides, even if it was, take it off the fucker and see if he has the front to sue. I doubt it.

because they own 50% of RBS ot whatever it is. But really, the point is that Goodwin should say, "I really shouldn't have sanctioned buying ABN Amro, it was a stupid mistake and I don't deserve this pension".

...when Mr. G. Brown repays the rent he got from sub-letting his office to the Labour party. Something which was very naughty (i.e. verging on illegal) to do. But, of course, G. Brown is keeping the cash.
All this noise is just MPs trying to look good in the press. The do not care one shit about you, this country or the economy. SO long as they get THEIR fat pay check, THEIR fat pension, THEIR dubious expenses claims and THEIR perks/back-handers for being a director, that's it. The rest is just "Fuck you".
