of course you can, it was common practice a few years ago to give a baby brandy to get them to sleep, never beleive what a couple of geordie tell you

gave me a drop of sherry once when i was a baby to get me to sleep. apparently my father was so horrified it was quite amusing.

If I drink though, she gets grouchy, and if I drink coffee she never sleeps! not that I ever drink coffee...
