This was a quick one that turned out OK. It's surprisingly much easier when the source pic isn't a blurry 640x480 VHS screengrab.

get hold of Akvis Blow Up 2. ( tattyshop plugin )
Very helpful for resizing reference images and retaining the majority of detail.
