I've been away from her for so long that I feel like a stranger, but the instinct comes back pretty quick.
Just remember that most of the people you have to worry about aren't actually the Londerners themselves. It turns out that even those thieving bastards from Tunbridge Wells are allowed to ply their trade on the streets there.

Wallet = not in bum/hip pocket, nor in jacket pocket. Keep it in a zipped pocket if you can.
And above all, just be aware of what's going on around you.
