I remember seeing some documentary on how certian animals manage to eithe rget drunk or use narcotics (there was a particular monkey that had discovered if you irritate a certain species of millipede, it secretes a toxin that essentially gets you stoned...)

Anyway, bees may land on fermenting fruit, upon drinking the juices, they tend to get a little drunk.

some bees have the task of monitoring every bee that enters the hive, and by watching incoming flight paths, they reject any bee that is under the influence. Repeat offenders taht try to get in end up with legs bitten off.

No joke, honestly....
