Mothering Sunday is not a Hallmark day.I do not do Father's day, but Mothering Sunday and the association with actual mothers is not the same.

It's still another bullshit daydesigned to part the masses from their beer money.
My mother and I long ago reconciled the fact that I don't need a special day, once a year, to show her how much I love her and I'd be a poor son if I did.
Even saying I cooked dinner is a bit of a cheat because I cook Sunday lunch every week for both my estranged ( from each other, not me ) parents and anyone else who'd around .
We had 8 today but I'm glad they have gone.
