I'm not adverse to the guidelines being bent as long as
a) some effort's gone into it
b) it's amusing
and
c) they don't pea in a new post
Two out of three aint bad
I'd rather things like this than just changing the name on a poster, which I fear will happen a lot, but its within the guidelines of the compo

I'm inclined to agree with you here
and to be fair, the word "mashup" in the title of the challenge is a little misleading. I know people should read the whole thing, but none of us are here because we have long attention spans, are we!
