I had fellow pupils who were attractive ladies.

But they weren't my friends. Apparently one had to be a fat rugby player who punches the intelligent in order to make friends at my school.

I didn't belong to any clubs, just hung around with geeks like me. Which obviously made us all gay for each other and deserving of unprovoked violence.

I expect you are exagerating

due to having watched too many American teen movies. I was a nerd at school. I have never seen a nerd get beat up. The only fights that took place at school were between two individuals who consented to fight one another.

I'm afraid not

although "beaten up" is not what I meant. But getting punched, kicked, kneed in the side of the thigh (which hurts like fuck) for absolutely no reason was a common occurrence for me and my friends. We weren't all that nerdy really, just not "cool".

with "other people's experience"

What I'm doing is basing my understanding of the world on my experience of it.

Just like every single human being alive, or who has ever lived, or who will ever live in the future, does/has done/will do. I simply don't believe that your experiences were as bad as you make out. Deal with it.

I prefer to base my understanding of the world on knowledge and an openness to expanding my knowledge,

rather than simply accepting what I believe about a subject I have limited practical experience of.

I do not believe that every single human being alive, or who has ever lived, or who will ever live in the future has the same outlook as you, otherwise there would be no reason for anyone to develop an informed opinion.
