# That's so wrong
All these deals have a 7 day cooling off period, and even then, you've been missold a product.

Your Trading Standards want shooting.

# All Trading Stardards said was send them a letter
threatening legal action if they didn't reply within 14 days - but we would have to take them to court and we would have to prove that the sale's rep told us it was a dedicated chip. The 14 days expired they didn't contact us and our bluff was called - we don't have the money to pursue this further - so James is having the other laptop despite my protests.

# You could tyry going back to the Whorehouse
and laying the Sale of Goods Act on them, which basically states the retailer has the responsibility

Retailers are pooing themselves over this at the moment, sicne the BBC did a big report on it.

My Xbox recently died out of warranty, phoned Game HO, they said there was nothing they could do. I mentioned the SoG Act and they suddenly went, take it to your nearest store and get it replaced.

At the end of the day, you've done nothing wrong. You bought a prodcut in good faith, based on the advice you were given. This has turned out not to be the case, so it's their fault.

# Thanks I've bookmarked that I'll show it to James
but I think he's of the mind that it's not worth fighting over - I think it is and I'm bloody annoyed as anyone can be caught in such a trap especially with T-Mobile mobile broadband - steer well clear of them unless you know what you're getting.
