Retailers are pooing themselves over this at the moment, sicne the BBC did a big report on it.

My Xbox recently died out of warranty, phoned Game HO, they said there was nothing they could do. I mentioned the SoG Act and they suddenly went, take it to your nearest store and get it replaced.

At the end of the day, you've done nothing wrong. You bought a prodcut in good faith, based on the advice you were given. This has turned out not to be the case, so it's their fault.

but I think he's of the mind that it's not worth fighting over - I think it is and I'm bloody annoyed as anyone can be caught in such a trap especially with T-Mobile mobile broadband - steer well clear of them unless you know what you're getting.
