how did you make them stay so fluffy? I've tried to make fluffy things, but after cutting the texture out, making them look fluffy on the outside edges is always a problem, which turns out shit.

Whenever I've used smudge to try for that effect, it looks like a spikey mess made by a retard. I think patience may also be part of the answer.
