It's actually just a paper thin flat plane resting under the cup.
Seeing as you cant see the edges I figured it didn't matter in this case.
The texture is just 2 pics shopped together and applied to the plane.

# Do a search for "render multipass" render lots of layers and use photshop to stitch them back
You'll get more control for that hard to get last 1%
