Not sure if anyone has tried it. Mic'ed hollowbodies seems to be it.
Did a search and didn't find an example. Interesting idea though.

It might need a redesign to strengthen it, possibly using struts. I've no idea what is inside it though.
Bet it would feedback easily as an electric.

Either way it would keep the hollowbody to make the feedback dead simple to start.
