my monitor is dying fast and i need a replacement, but i now nothing about these thingsjust been having a bit of a clean, room had more dead skin in it than babs windsor's loofah, turned monitor on its side, unplugged, and anow i've got a nasty blue/green shaded bit in the corner, almost as if the colour has all run, it's an oldish 17' dell jobby with a tube which i still rather like, never seen a flat screen that has the richness of colour of a tube but...

Have you moved things around?I get that colour run if I have my speakers too close to the screen. It's the magnets or something?
