Leeds Festival 2006

Hello! Bit of a noob here, but i've posted a few odd things on here now and then, mainly pixel drawings (a big one coming soon...) but anyway, I have a cunning plan..... Leeds 2006 will be pretty special, as apparantly Glastonbury is not on in 2006 (to help the fields grow or some other jazz)

Therefore, Leeds will kick arse more than usual, as it will have all the very best bands on.

And it will kick arse more if alot of people came along and engulfed the gig!

I'm also hoping that most of the people who turn up will dress up on one or more of the days. I have an idea in my mind that it'd be brilliant if 100+ people turned up outside the gates all dressed in pirate costumes. Anyway, im going on too much, so my webpage dedicated to it all is at the bottom.....

If anyone would like to help me with webpage design, that'd be fantastic, as because you can see, i'm not a brilliant designer. See you ll there hopefully !

Cheers !

hmm...

...hmm, dont know if I'm that keen on the glastonbury crowd coming to Leeds. I always liked Leeds lack of the pretension and pseudo-hippy wankiness that you get at Glasto.

On a lighter note, due to the success of me and my mates plan to nick power from the sites cables by taking our own industrial splitter and cable for the weekend, we will be doing the same thing this year, albeit in the cause of ravey goodness on the last night. Location will depend on where my mate can shimmy up a light pole again / where theres a cable running along the floor.

fantastic idea there !

Yeah, i can see your point, I dont think many of the Glasto crowd will come hopefully, i do hope the headliner bands that play at Glasto will come along though (all except Coldplay).

You may have spotted me last year, on Friday I was dressed as a pirate with all of my mates, and at the Queens Of The Stone Age gig I crowd surfed in a dinghy :o)

I've vowed to never..

Go to Leeds fest again. There always seem to be annoying pissed Leeds scallies everywhere, I was repeatedly hit in the head all thru Dinosaur Jr by a guy with a massive stack of paper cups this year. What a fucker.

Oh well, roll on Sziget 2006

(probably end up going to Leeds again anyway :))

That fest in Budapest

looks fantastic!

I'll have to go there in 2007, as it looks like my kind of festival. (I missed Nick Cave last year ! Gah !)

Ah well, hopefully see you at Leeds mate!

COCK IT!

Woo ha! After losing faith last night because of the sellouts, me and four friends managed to get tickets for the whole weekend plus the vengabus taking us there and back. Bit of a pain in the arse but fuck it, we're going again!

Tandino!

Just noticed that you're from Southport !

Nice to know i'm not the only one.

Be-jeezus it's hot today..... was half tempted to fall asleep in the Tescos freezer dep.

Also, which cinema did you work in ?

As I worked in the new Vue one for a while, until I discovered that it was run by arses.

I think I might also know of the adult shop you work in... is it by any chance by the train station in Southport - if so, my mates brother works there! His last name is Yates and he has dreadlocks (not sure of his first name).

Wowser

How queer you knowing all my local landmarks...

Yes it was Vue, I worked there for a year and also left when I realised it was run by a bunch of arses. I have been in the current shop (the one opposite the train station, correct) for a little over 2 years now. Mr Yates now manages our Liverpool branch. All very strange this!

Doubt you'll see this considering I'm over a month late in replying.

I will, as ever, be there

I like to go and laugh at the kids walking around in gangs trying to look tough but failing. Oh aye, and the twats in costumes

Yeah

ill be there again this year - was camped behind the pikey rides near the cider tent, so seen it all go off on Sunday night, fools dancing round the fire with gas canisters. Good to watch from afar though. And I may procure a pirate costume... lol

Im also planning on getting a megaphone, to start the biggest game of "Bollocks" I can, and to wake everyone up in the morning, regardless what time it is. w00t

Me and a few mates going

don't suppose anyone went download festival? I had my b3ta shirt on and some guy there touched my nipple as I was walking along. Highly friendly, though I dunno if it was for the shirt or not.

Anyway.. count me in! + 6 of my mates or so

Well, I'm going to be there

but the chances are I'll be wearing a fluorescent jacket and a walkie-talkie, and I'll be doing 12-hour shifts, so I'll have to go easy on the booze.
Also, if anyone signed up is a pikey with a fake ticket, beware!
or not, as the case may be.
