Possibly Mighty Badger in Edinburgh

Just thought I'd stick this in here anyway, see who's free to come out and play. Mighty Badger's up flat-hunting and might be out on the Saturday night. Any suggestions of where we can go? I can be out about 8.30pm

[edit] Writerblock and I will be in Favorit from about 8.30pm having some red peppers and hummous :)

[edit2] looks like I'll have young Wolfie with me too :)

[edit3] Just to clarify - it's the Favorit just up from the King's Theatre.

is that the bar in the Cameo itself?

is it any good? is there nothing else decent in the Tollcross area? it's years since I drank there, and the pub we drank in most is a lapdancing place now

Yes

Yes, and no. Apart from, at a push, the Illicit Still or Cloisters, both of which are a bit small and crowded at weekends.

Most of the bars round there are strip bars now.

woo, bring knives and bacardi breezer

if thereabouts, cameo is civilized (ditto filmhouse bar - all full of nice middle class people who like indie movies) ... and there's all that new stuff at port hamilton canal basin (altho' not been so can't vouch) ... cloisters is decent (beer) but as noted, busy ... and favorit cafe-bar up the street a bit isn't bad (wine, continental lager, nachos etc)
