In April I will be leaving the grim, frostbitten, darkened wastelands of the North to come down to the big city and hang around with some friends for a couple of days.
HOWEVER, these so-called friends are busy on Friday, meaning that I will have nobody to entertain me for much of the day. I therefore propose to find one of the Big Smoke's many fine public houses, and spend the afternoon patronising said establishment.
If any of you flash city folk would care to join me you'd be most welcome, especially as I don't know my way around at all and have no idea where is good for drinking.
EDIT: I suggest we go to the RED LION, near Piccadilly Circus tube station. If anybody would prefer somewhere else, let me know.

I look forward to seeing you and your ginger-topped babyface.

It rather depends.
But make a decision where you're going to hold it and more people may turn up.

I shall do my best to book the day off.
What area you staying in?
There are some nice Sam Smith pubs in the centre which are surprisingly cheap :)

but I imagine somewhere a bit more central would be easier for most people.
Hope to see you there!

that I wouldn't go to New Cross Gate if you paid me, as I quite like not-dying.

Despite the tiny Red Lion being one of my favourite pubs.

...and might - just might - pop in. It will be on my way to finding a Rock Club of some sort, though. I may be dressed in a slightly gothy style.
It will be in the evening, too, so you might be pissed (or dead) by the time I get there.
If there are any decent, friendly, rock pubs in the area, let me know. The only places I know in Soho are The Pigalle Club, and LAB.
