Also, with regards to this only one game working for one console,
what if your console gets broken somehow? Will you have to buy all of the games again?

It's utter bullshit.
If you have bought the game in a physical format, it should be yours to do with what you will, within reason obviously. Could you imagine the uproar if sony or disney did that with CDs or DVDs?
