A few people don't like it, because it's pretentious/smug.
Personally I like it, but I think I am also both of those things.

Pretty sure that if you're seeing pretentiousness or smugness there, then you brought that to the party all on your own.

I think it is great that people are getting exposed to some interesting concepts - but it seems like the kind of output you would create if you were tasked with trying to amuse smart people with your amazing wikipedia mining skills every other weekday.
