I don't hate them, but I often think the sequels to "origin" films are a bit rubbish / of limited interest (liked the first Iron Man film, but not the sequels)
I thought I would like the (first) Avengers film (saw it last Xmas on TV) because it had good reviews, but I was bored at the end because there was no suspense / jeopardy (or whatever it is that tricks you in to thinking that Doc might not put that plug back in time at the end of BTTF, even though you've seen the film dozens of times)
