normally I'd agree and put her in the same category with acts like celine dion or something
in that it's not my taste, but they must be good at what they do as plenty of people buy the albums and watch them live. I just an't see it with this band. the music side of things might be ok, but her voice is just very annoying to my ear, like she's trying way too hard and still failing. isn't she a failed opera singer or something? i dunno...

yeah I like foo fighters and bands like sabbath, led zep and acdc
but then I also like sinatra, elvis, hendrix, bob marley, 2pac, motown, hip hop, blues, northern soul, ska, punk that sorta stuff. But i also like a bunch of acts that don't back up your theory, stuff like boney m, mariah carey, boyz 2 men, shakira, so who knows eh?
