A local pub a few years ago reused the dried out, knackered tree from the year before...
and donated the money they would have spent on it and its decorations to a homeless charity. However, the signage explaining the decision went missing so everyone just thought they were being lazy/tight and drank elsewhere over the festive period.
Maybe this lot should say that this is what they're doing.
