This is a normal post spilled a tall glass of coffee into my last sennheisers
happily cheap-o ones

First sennheisers gone to waste was way back in the last millenium when people still smoked indoors. Lit a marlboro and got the cables in the flame. Those were probably not cheap-o ones.

Second set of headphones never were the same after I forgot they were around my neck as I went to answer the phone.

I think around £15-25 is reasonable. It's like people buying a $200 keyboard only to be very likely to spill a soda in it within the year.
